Medical Missionaries functions in four areas of public health in some of the poorest regions of the United States and the rest of the world:

Collection and distribution of medicine, medical equipment, and medical supplies
Sending teams of doctors, nurses, and dentists to areas where their services are needed
Providing medical education for professionals in the U.S. and abroad
Building and supporting a model clinic in Thomassique, Haiti
